Terrier and Lurcher Events

Terrier & lurcher events have been a mainstay at the national Countrysports fair for over a decade. We promise an even bigger and better event in 2010 with prizes never offered at Northern Irish fair in the past. Justin Hill and his highly respected Gilford Club will host the judging and racing events at the 2010 National Countrysports Fair.

Sunday 30 May will be the big day for terrier and lurcher showing at Moira Demesne.

Judging and racing events for both terriers and running dogs will commence at 10:30 and run through until 17:00

Superb 1st Prize for top Terrier & Lurcher Handlers

The top lurchers and terriers in all the classes will be judged in the main arena on Sunday 30 May at Moira Demesne with the winners receiving this fantastic prize.

Northern Irish terrier and lurcher enthusiasts will have the opportunity to win a fantastic, expense paid trip to represent their country at the Midland Game Fair on 18 & 19 September 2010. This is courtesy of the National Countrysports Fair and Countryside Alliance Ireland. The value is around £700 each for the four winning competitors.

The winners will receive free ferry travel for a car and two adults from an Irish port to GB, B&B accommodation close to the Midland Game Fair and free entry into the fair each day and £100 to help defray other expenses!

Winners at the Northern Ireland event cannot be considered for the top prizes at Ballinlough Castle.
