Birds of Prey at Moira Demesne

The 2011 National Countrysports Fair can again boast of the best Falconry Display ever seen in Ireland.  The head of Perthshire based, Phoenix Falconry Services, Adrian Hallgarth, said that the National Countrysports Fair is now the leader in this genre on the island of Ireland and possibly even on the UK mainland. The Falconry Displays at the 2011 event will be bigger and better and feature some of the world's rarest birds of prey.

The Falconry Display at the National Countrysports Fair is one of the most popular main arena displays at the event and features free flying birds of prey from Europe, Asia and North America.

Ranging from the tiny kestrel to the great American bald eagle, the birds of prey on show are spectacular and something not seen at any other event.

At the 2011 National Countrysports Fair, visitors can enjoy an interactive display twice each day in the game fair's main arena. In addition, the Falconry Village will be manned by the Phoenix Falconry Centre's staff and will feature over twenty native and foreign birds that can be seen and handled in the specially constructed Falconer's Mews.
