BASC Organise Clay Events at Moira

Clay pigeon shooting enthusiasts will again be spoilt for choice at the 2010 National Countrysports Fair in Moira Demesne with a range of superb layouts and excellent prizes.

The organisers of the 2010 National Countrysports Fair at Moira Demesne are delighted that BASC Northern Ireland will play a major part in the clay pigeon shooting at the event, including co-ordination the sporting clay pigeon shoot, a pool trap and manning the BASC Shotgun Coaching Line. BASC's input will significantly strengthen the clay pigeon events at the game fair.

Sporting Clay Shoot

This forty target, re-entry event is organised by the Ballycranmore & Kircubbin CTC and will run on both days of the fair with a new shotgun for the first prize each day. Entries will be accepted on the day of competition. A range of prizes for the various shooting classes will also be on offer. Shooters should note that only fibre or felt wad cartridges may be used at any of the clay pigeon events at Moira Demesne. Cartridges will be available for sale at the event.

BASC Shotgun Coaching Line

Changes to the Firearms (NI) Order now means that visitors to the National Countrysports Fair who are over the age of eighteen can use a shotgun to shoot clay pigeons at the BASC Coaching Line, under the guidance of a BASC clay pigeon coach.  The BASC Coaching Line will operate on both days of the game fair and no appointment is necessary to avail of the coaching.
